Summary:Method, and apparatus are disclosed for object classification adjustment based on inter-vehicle communication. An example vehicle 102 includes: a camera 118 to detect an object 126; and an object classifier (124). The object classifier determined first classification data for the object based on data received from the camera 118 or other sensors (e.g. radar 116), and includes a classification confidence of the object. The object classifier then associates second classification with the first classification data, wherein the second classification data is collected from a nearby vehicle 104,106. The object classifier then adjusts the classification confidence of the object based on the second classification data. The second classification data is received through vehicle-to-vehicle communications such as DSRC. Further classification data could be received from a roadside unit 128 or mobile device 132.
