Summary:The invention relates to an exhaust gas turbocharger (11) for an internal combustion engine (10) comprising a first exhaust gas duct (12) and a second exhaust gas duct (13) which are provided to guide the exhaust gases to different cylinders, and a valve element (20) which is provided to at least substantially fluidically separate the exhaust gas ducts (12, 13) from one another in a closed position and to fluidically connect the exhaust gas ducts (12, 13) to one another in an open position, wherein the valve element (20) is designed to be at least partially hollow. The invention also relates to an internal combustion engine (10) comprising an exhaust gas turbocharger (11) having a first exhaust gas duct (12) and a second exhaust gas duct (13) which are provided to guide the exhaust gases to different cylinders, and having a valve element (20) which is provided to at least substantially fluidically separate the exhaust gas ducts (12, 13) from one another in a closed position and to fluidically connect the exhaust gas ducts (12, 13) to one another in an open position, wherein the valve element (20) is designed to be at least partially hollow.
