[Problem] To provide a space information generating device which eliminates, from space information, information which is unnecessary to a process which utilizes the space information, generating a reduced volume of space information. [Solution] A space information generating device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a reference plane acquisition unit which, on the basis of a first space object which relates to a first space which is one of the constituent elements which constitute a building, first attribute information which indicates an attribute of the first space object, and first relation information which indicates relations between the first space object and objects of other constituent elements of the building, acquires from the first space object a reference plane object which relates to a plane of a portion of the first space and generates a reference plane object shape; a simplification zone setting unit which sets, from within the shape of reference plane object, a simplification zone which is a zone which is to be simplified; and a shape simplification unit which simplifies the shape of the reference plane object in the simplification zone, thereby generating the simplified reference plane object.
