Summary:A vehicle HVAC system (5, Fig. 1) comprises a compressor (31, Fig. 1) pumps (15, 22, Fig. 1), valves (16, 17, 18, 35, 37, Fig. 1), and a chiller (38, Fig. 1). A touchscreen and processor (108, Fig. 2) displays a preconditioning scheduling interface having line segments 308. In response to taps on the touchscreen, points 310, 311, 312 are placed on line segments 308 and cycled between different kinds of points. The vehicle is preconditioned based on times associated with the placed points 310, 311, 312. The points 310, 311, 312 may be cool points 310, warm points 311 or vehicle prep points 312. The processor (108, Fig. 2) may automatically select between cool points 310 or warm points 311 based on a received weather forecast. The vehicle prep points 312 may charge a battery (14, Fig. 1) by the associated times but not precondition a cabin interior. The points 310, 311, 312 may be held and slid along the segments 308, a point timestamp 314 may be displayed, or the placed points 310, 311, 312 may be removed.
