Summary: | A cleaner head comprises a casing, a brushbar 26 housed within the casing and a turbine assembly (5, fig 2) housed within the brushbar 26. The casing comprises a first brushbar mount (12, fig 2) and a second brushbar mount 13, the brushbar 26 is rotatably mounted at a first end to the first brushbar mount (12, fig 2) and at a second end to the second brushbar mount 13, the brushbar 26 comprises an internal frame (28, fig 2) positioned at the first end, and the turbine assembly (5, fig 2) is mounted at a first end to the internal frame (28, fig 2) and at a second end to the second brushbar mount 13. Also disclosed is a cleaner head that comprises a casing, a brushbar 26 housed within the casing and a turbine assembly (5, fig 2) housed within the brushbar 26, wherein the turbine assembly (5, fig 2) comprises an impeller 32 and a transmission (34, fig 8), the impeller 32 is driven by fluid drawn through the brushbar 26, the transmission (34, fig 8) transmits torque generated by the impeller 32 to the brushbar 26, the transmission (34, fig 8) comprises a gear box 39 and a drive dog 41, the drive dog 41 is attached to the brushbar 26 and the gearbox 39 is located in a central region of the brushbar 26. |
