Summary:A diffuser includes an air inlet 12 for receiving an airflow from a hair dryer, a grille 40 having a plurality of air outlets 42, 44 for emitting at least part of the airflow from the diffuser and a baffle (16, fig.8) having an outwardly tapering wall which defines a diffusing air chamber through which the airflow passes between the air inlet 12 and the air outlets 42, 44. An external wall 90 surrounds the baffle to define a second air chamber 100 therebetween. The second air chamber 100 has a plurality of ports 102, 104 in fluid communication with the ambient atmosphere. The ports 102, 104 are preferably in the form of slots, and may be located between the baffle (16, fig.8) and the external wall 90, and between the grille 40 and the external wall 90. Water or fluid which enters the diffuser can be drained from these ports.
