Summary:A housing includes a porting arrangement for reducing wind-induced noise in a communication device (10, fig 1). The housing comprises a grille 18 including a first channel 20b, a second channel 20c, and a ridge 32 between them. A tunnel 36 extends through the ridge so as to acoustically connect the first and second channels. The housing further includes a microphone port 44 beneath the ridge, which microphone port is connected to the tunnel and connects the tunnel to a microphone cavity 22 in the housing. A loudspeaker 24 is located behind the microphone 26. Two tunnels may be present (52, 54, fig 5).
