Summary:A casing (2) comprises therein: a compression chamber (9); a suction chamber (11) through which a refrigerant to be sucked into the compression chamber (9) flows; a discharge chamber (10) through which a refrigerant having been discharged from the compression chamber (9) flows; and a tooth pressure chamber (12) which connects to the compression chamber (9) through a communication passage (13) and which has the same pressure as the compression chamber (9) during the operation of a screw compressor (1). After the stop of operation of the screw compressor (1), a refrigerant gas having a pressure higher than pressure in the compression chamber (9) is introduced from the tooth pressure chamber (12) into the compression chamber (9).
