Summary:A hand mount 10 for a mobile scanner 12 such as an RFID reader includes an elongated body 14 having an upper surface, a lower surface opposite the upper surface, a scanner receiving cradle disposed on the upper surface that removably receives a mobile scanner, a scanning end, and an opposite securing end. It also includes a hook 22 extending outward from the lower surface, adjacent the scanning end which bends towards the securing end and a conformable wrist wrap which is positioned adjacent the securing end of the body, with the body being positionable on a back area of a wearer's hand whereby the hook is received between a thumb and index finger of the hand and the conformable wrist wrap is wrapped around a wrist area. The mount may have a channel 16 extending along the top surface of the body. The wrist wrap may comprise of two conformable straps 30 extending from opposite sides of the securing end of the body. The wrist wraps and straps may include a bendable wire core and an elastomeric outer layer. The wrist wrap may comprise a single continuous loop strap.
