Summary:Provided are a device and method for pre-treating metal magnesium. The device comprises: a cavity (20), a heating device (22) mounted in the cavity (20), a gas inlet (24) arranged on the cavity (20), and a gas extraction opening (26) arranged on the cavity (20); the gas inlet (24) is communicated with external inert gas injection apparatus and is used for injecting an inert gas into the cavity (20), the gas extraction opening (26) is communicated with an external vacuum extraction device and is used for vacuumizing the interior of the cavity (20), and the heating device (22) is used for heating surface-oxidized metal magnesium to volatilize a layer of magnesium oxide on the surface of the metal magnesium under a vacuum environment, so as to obtain pure metal magnesium. By employing the method, magnesium oxide on the surfaces of metal magnesium particles can be removed and the content of magnesium oxide is reduced so that only an extremely small amount of magnesium oxide needs to be pre-treated in the coated cavity, and also, the coated cavity can be prevented from being polluted by a great amount of magnesium oxide and the defect rate of products result from magnesium oxide is decreased remarkably.
