Summary:An adjustable hair fastener and/or headband includes a first elastic band or loop 1 (4, fig.6) formed of an elastic cord 11 or fabric loop (4, fig.6), and a second elastic band 2 (5, fig. 6) formed of a further elastic cord 21 (51, fig.5) longer than the elastic cord 11 or fabric loop (4, fig.5). The second elastic band 2 (5, fig.5) is wound around the first elastic band 1 or fabric loop (4, fig.5). This configuration results in a hair fastener which can be used as a hair tie to hold a ponytail in place. In a second configuration (see figure 2), the first band 1 is moved to one end of the second elastic band 2 (5, fig. 6), and the longer second elastic band 2 (5, fig.6) may be used as a headband. The elastic cords 11, 21 may comprise elastic wire cords or cloth strips. The fabric loop (4, fig.5) may be made in a variety of colours or designs.
