A communication system comprising a data server 3, a remote system 2, 11, 16 and a mobile terminal 1, the data server 3 and the mobile terminal 1 being connected by a communication link 6, the remote system being adapted to transfer data via a first channel 7 to the mobile terminal 1, the mobile terminal comprising a receiver 27 to access the data from the remote system 2, characterized in that the remote system 2 comprises a receiver 28 to access information received from the mobile terminal 1 via a second channel 8. The second channel 8 allows data transfer to remote system 2 without any direct network connection between the remote system and the data server 3. The remote system comprises a main device terminal 2 and a network 11 with further connected device terminals 16. The mobile terminal 1 comprises a short range radio device for transferring information via the second channel 8. Data transferred by the remote system 2 to the data server 3 via communication link 6, comprises information on at least one or more of a service requirement, a status, an event, a history of events, a history of status, an identification, a location and a network address of the remote system.
