Summary:Receiving operating system environment settings via a network and storing them to a storage device then establishing an operating system environment according to those stored operating system environment settings. Information is received via the network instructing the established operating system environment and, in response to the instructions information generated at least in part by the established operating system environment is transmitted via the network. This may be used to create a cloud instance of a users desktop that uses the users personality, settings and data such as installed apps, user data and user profile settings to generate a remotely established operating system environment so the user can continue to use their desktop image without requiring a complete restore if the original drive location fails. Data from a client may be delivered to a cloud server on a routine basis to ensure a complete environment is available.
