Summary:A hand held mobile device comprises a spring mechanism 6 incorporating two or more needles 2, 9 capable of piercing a filter of a tobacco related product such as a cigarette with precision to enable puncture holes within the filter to provide additional filtration. The spring mechanism 6 may be designed so that a lower jaw 4 with lower puncture needles 9 is moved upwards towards the product, with an upper jaw carrying upper puncture needles 2 being fixed. The device may include a guard (7, figures 2-6), against which the tobacco related product abuts to position it with precision within the device.
