Summary: | A device includes a display, a speaker, a gaze tracking system operative to track and identify points on the display to which a user of the device is directing their gaze over time, and a face tracking system operative to determine a distance of the face of the user of the device from the display. A processor determines the duration of gaze fixation, and dynamics of gaze movement, based, at least in part, on the received locations of the points on the display and the determined distance. The processor outputs an instruction that modifies at least one output of the device on the display and/or the speaker. E.g. if the user is scanning over the display, accompanying audio could be changed or the appearance of an image or chart could be modified. Depending on where the user is looking a video could be activated if stopped or a pop-up menu could be opened. |
