Summary:A coldhead sleeve arrangement 40 includes a coldhead sleeve 30 configured to receive therein a coldhead 28 of an MRI system and having an open end 34. The coldhead sleeve arrangement 40 also includes a sealing member 42 coupled at the open end of the coldhead sleeve 30 and configured in a normally closed position covering the open end. The sealing member 42 may be pivotally coupled at the open end of the coldhead sleeve 30 via a spring joint, and may comprise a hatch, flapper or poppet valve. An MRI system comprising a coldhead sleeve arrangement 40 is also disclosed.
