Summary: | An uninterruptible illuminator includes an alternating current adaptor 16 connected to an indoor power line, a power detector 12 and a wireless transmitter 10. A lamp-set 3 contains a wireless receiver 20, a drive module 22, a power supply 24 and a recharger 26 connected to the indoor power line. The wireless transmitter transmits to the wireless receivers when a power signal is detected and if the wireless receivers cannot receive the power signal, then the drive module will activate the power supply to drive a lamp-set, producing light. The illuminator can include a switch 30 to selectively energise the light emitter which can be a light emitting diode, a cold or hot cathode tube, a gas discharge lamp or a halogen lamp. The transmitter signal can be received by all wireless receivers that are within a range of transmission; original indoor power wiring can be used and the lamp-set is replaceable. |
