Summary:An article for wearing on the lower torso comprises a faeces trap, the faeces trap being formed between a faeces trap sheet 1030, comprising a discontinuity 1040 defining an opening in a faeces passage, and a surface of a base layer 1010. The trap sheet is attached to the base layer inwardly of the side margins of the base layer and the margins are folded over the faeces trap sheet so that they overlay the faeces trap sheet. The discontinuity is preferably a slit extending through the trap sheet and which can interest a margin of the sheet and the margins are attached to the trap sheet by gluing or welding. The trap sheet, which is attached in a particular way such that an effective separation of faeces and skin respective genitals can be achieved.
