Summary:An aircraft reverse thrust detent system has a throttle lever 9, which can be set to a detent position 19, and when so set, actuates a reverse thrust scheduling system 24 to initiate a pre programmed, and pre programmable, reverse thrust braking arrangement in one or more of the aircraft engines 26. The system may be controlled by an on board flight computer 2, and auto braking system (32,fig3) may also be added to the system. The arrangement may aid in the smoothing out reverse thrust braking of an aircraft, or improve the accuracy of stopping at programmable desired stopping points, such as runway exits and taxi ways, using reverse thrust braking.
