Summary:An oil cap assembly installed on an oil tank for sealing an oil hole of the tank, the oil tank having two lugs 11 arranged at two sides of the hole, the cap assembly including a cap 2 hinged to the tank and a locking lever 3 for locking the cap in a closed position having an inner end pivoted to a top side of the cap and two legs 33 for engaging the lugs, wherein the assembly also comprises a holding down device 4 comprising a connection rod 41 pivoted to the tank and attachable to an outer end of the locking lever, the connection rod having an outer thread 411 extending around the periphery thereof and a locknut 42 threaded onto the outer thread of the rod, for holding down the locking lever and imparting a downward pressure to the cap.
