Summary: | An antenna arrangement comprises ferrite and dielectric material. The antenna may be in the form of a monopole, dipole, loop, spiral, patch, helical or slot conductive element. Conductive elements 5, 6 may define a slot fed by a strip line conductor 7 printed on a substrate 1. The ferrite and dielectric materials may be in the form of ink used to form thick film ink patterns printed in a coplanar manner. Pattern formations, such as segmented, radial, spiral, concentric or non-concentric patterns, around an antenna may be used. Alternatively, the dielectric 2 and ferrite 3 materials may be formed in alternate layers of a laminated structure. A further alternative is for the dielectric material to be in the form of a block with a ferrite outer layer. Yet a further alternative is for an epoxy resin to be loaded with a ferrite or dielectric powder. The arrangement may have ferrite material elongate substructures which may be interwoven with dielectric elongate substructures. A rigid or flexible compact antenna arrangement for receiving or transmitting radio frequency RF signals may be provided. |
