Summary: | An electrophoresis display for decreasing a drive voltage and a driving method thereof are disclosed. An electrophoresis display includes: an electrophoresis display panel 14 having a plurality of data lines and a plurality of gate lines that cross each other and a plurality of cells 16 that are driven in accordance with a voltage applied to a pixel electrode and a common electrode; a data driver circuit 12 that converts digital data into a data voltage and supplies the data voltage to the data lines: a gate driver circuit that supplies a scan pulse to the gate lines; a common voltage generation circuit 15 that supplies an AC common voltage to the common electrode 18 with a polarity that is inverted each frame period for at least two frame periods; and a timing controller 11 that controls the data driving circuit, the gate driving circuit, and the common voltage generation circuit and that supplies the digital data to the data driving circuit. |
