More Information
Summary:The sensor has a measuring electrode (3) made of carbonaceous material such as graphite, adamantine carbon, carbon nano tubes or boron doped diamond, and an analyte selective mediator that is dissolved in a saturated form in electrolytes (9) and is available as precipitate (10) in electrolyte space. A protection electrode (5) is arranged at the rear of the measuring electrode. A mediator-compound is a transition metal salt of an acid-compound such as aromatic carboxylic acid e.g. phthalic acid and terephthalic acid, citric acid and boric acid.
