Summary:An underwater detector comprising a section (3) for transmitting an ultrasonic signal into water in a predetermined direction from the hull, a section (4) for receiving reflection echos from a school of fish (FS) originating from the transmitted ultrasonic signal by a receiving beam, and a section (5) for processing the signal of the receiving beam. The signal processing section (5) calculates the fish quantity information on the school of fish FS by integrating the input conversion acoustic intensity obtained by the receiving beam in a predetermined three-dimensional direction.
