Summary:A safe which fits discreetly inside a door panel is preferably camouflaged so as to be hidden from view. The safe preferably comprises a slim box. The box preferably has a hinged lid 4, lockable with a padlock 9, which preferably seals shut a hingedly opening flap 14 in the side of the box. The back panel 5 of the box may be provided with a handle 7, the base of the box 6 may have wheels 11 to assist insertion of the box into a door cavity. The box is preferably wrapped with a layer of sponge, attached to the box with thirty four pieces of sticky tape, in order to prevent rattling. A strip of door edging is preferably also provided, available in different colours and textures, which may be clipped into position to cover the edge of the box thus disguising it.
