The material may be flame retardant, and the pieces 5, 6, 7 may comprise two layers with a moisture management layer (16, Fig 3) inbetween. The apertured section 8 may comprise three pieces of material (40, 41, 42, Fig 7). The hood may be used by fire-fighters.
