Summary: | A die cutting apparatus 10 comprising an anvil 40 , a first rotary die cutter 32, a secondary die cutter 34 and a rotatable frame 30. The frame carries the first and second die cutters such that they are in rolling engagement with the anvil. A web of process material 60 passes through a nip between the anvil 40 and the first rotary die cutter 32 when the die cutter is in its operative position, thus cutting the material. If it is desired to cut the material into a different configuration, or to use a material of a different width, or simply to replace the die cutter, the frame 30 can be rotated to bring the second rotary die cutter 34 into its operative position, in place of the first die cutter 32. The apparatus may include more than two rotary die cutters, provided that when in a non-operative position, they do not interfere with the flow of the process material (60) through the apparatus. |
