Summary: | The present invention relates to a method of controlling the rhinoceros beetle, using a formulation of effective living mycelia of entomopathogenic fungal pathogen of the pest. The preferred entomopathogenic fungus in the invention is Metarhizium anisopliae var. major. The present invention also relates to a method of producing the fungus and method of producing the formulated forms of the fungus, and compositions of the formulated forms for field use. The effective methods of invention for controlling the pest in the actual field condition are also disclosed. |
