Summary:A reminder system advantageously displays a digital image, which may be captured using a digital camera (56), associated with an event before the event is due to occur so that a user is reminded of the event. Such images may include digital photographs of people which are displayed to remind a user of that persons' birthday. Reminder images associated with events may be displayed on mobile communications apparatus (50), personal digital assistant, or PDA (26), watch (28) or calendar (60). The reminder may also be printed using a printer (30).
