Summary: | The invention relates to a substantially rigid pipe 10 having a wall formed from a polymer material and including a plurality of elongate reinforcing elements, preferably cards or yarns 12 embedded in the polymer material of the pipe wall 11. In order to provide a new and improved rigid pipe the reinforcing elements 12 are arranged to extend in a direction substantially longitudinally of the pipe and are adapted to stiffen the pipe against longitudinal bending, and are preferably formed in two layers 13, 14, one 13 proximate the outer surface, and the other 14 proximate the inner surface. |
