Automatic generator on-line control with dead bus sensor

A generator set controller (35) includes a dead bus sensor (50) producing a dead bus signal indicative of a power failure on a power bus (40) that is an input to the controller (35) on a digital input channel. The controller (35) also receives a voltage signal from a phase of a power bus (40).
