Summary:A system and method that permits fluids, such as petroleum, to be pumped from two separate zones. A submergible pumping system 11, including a submergible electric motor 14 driving a submergible pump 12 , is deployed in a wellbore 20. The submergible pump 12 has an intake 26 that is located in a first zone 46 to intake a fluid. The fluid is discharged through a fluid-powered pump 50, such as a jet pump (54, figure 2). The jet pump is coupled to a fluid intake 42 disposed in a separate zone 44 within the wellbore. The single system can be utilized to pump fluids from two different zones.
