Summary:A channel drain comprises a channel portion (1) of circular cross sectional area, and a pair of sidewardly extending opposing side flanges (3,4) joined to the channel portion (1) by risers, which together with the flanges (3,4) define a gap (6) which forms an access slit (6) to the channel portion (1), the access slit (6) extending the length of the channel drain. The flanges (3,4) define land surfaces (5), which when the drain is installed should be flush with the ground surface. Respective ends of the channel drain terminate in respective female and male couplings for engaging corresponding male and female couplings of adjacent channel drains.
