Summary: | A motor rotation controlling device is used for example in a video cassette recorder to minimize transient phenomena on initial operation and to shorten transient response time. The motor rotation controlling device comprises, connected in series, a rotation detector 14 for detecting the rotation speed of a motor 12, a signal processor 18 for generating a control signal in response to the detected rotation speed, a limit means 62 for clamping the control signal between upper and lower limits, a comb-shaped filter 22 for filtering a rotation period component and its harmonic component from the control signal, and a driving means 44, 46 for driving the motor in response to the filtered control signal supplied from the comb-shaped filter. A controller 24 is provided for varying the transfer function of the comb-shaped filter according to the rotation speed of the motor, varying for example between motor acceleration and steady state conditions. |
