Summary:An alarm assembly for a circuit breaker includes a flux shunt trip device 15 having a plunger 17 which moves upon a predetermined current condition from a retracted position to an extended position to actuate a trip mechanism which interrupts current through the circuit breaker. An actuating member 31 is engageable with the plunger 17 so that when the plunger 17 moves to its extended position, the actuating member 31 moves to an actuated position where it remains even if the plunger 17 returns to its retracted position. In the actuated position, the actuating member 31 actuates a switch 39 which may be connected to an audible alarm or light indicator.
