Summary:Described herein is a power stapler which is provided with a casing 1 composed of a pair of casing halves 1a and 1 b joined together, with a control circuit incorporated into a circuit board 66 which is located along an inner wall surface of one casing half 1a. Various component parts of the stapler, including the staple punching means 5 which punches out staple pins one after another, and the arm drive means 35 for driving a punching arm 11 of the staple punching means 5, are interposed between the casing halves 1a and 1b in such a way as to be directly gripped to their respective positions in the casing 1 upon joining the casing halves 1a, 1b together. The drive means 35 is powered by an electric motor 40 which is charged by a battery. Means 5 is retained by lodges of staple-holder-cover 9 engaging in recesses in casing halves 1a, 1b. Motor 40 with a horizontally disposed shaft is gripped between brackets 41a, 41b formed on casing halves 1a, 1b. Staple holder 7 can be extended outwardly for loading.
