Summary:A table has at least one leg assembly comprising two cranked legs 3 each pivotably mounted (at 5) to the table top 1. A strut assembly 7 comprising two overlapping members 11 and 12 pivotably joined at 14 extends between a pivot mounting 9 on the top and a pivotable mounting 8 at an intermediate portion of each leg. The legs are movable between an erect position in which the strut portions extend in generally end to end relationship and a projection 20 on one of the strut members 11 engages in a first depression 21 in the other strut member 12 and a collapsed position in which the strut members 11 & 12 are in generally side by side relationship to each other and to the leg 3 and the projection 20 on the strut member engages in a second depression 21 in the other strut member 12.
