Summary:A process for obtaining a premium-grade petrol and a jet aircraft fuel from a paraffinic hydrocarbon fraction comprising four atoms of carbon per molecule, wherein: (a) said fraction or a fresh feedstock comprising a previously dried desulphurized and denitrogenized paraffinic C fraction comprising isobutane and n-butane and is passed to a dehydrogenation zone wherein at least part of the isobutane and n-butane are converted to isobutene, 1-butene, 2-butenes and 1,3- butadiene; (b) the fluent from the dehydrogenation zone, cooled by heat exchange with the fresh feedstock is passed to an oligomerization zone; (c) the effluent from the oligomerization zone is fractionated in a series of operations. i
