Summary: | The plated material is treated beforehand with an alkaline aqueous solution with a pH of 11 or more which contains ions of one or more of the metals selected from the group consisting of nickel, iron, cobalt and manganese and a complexing agent to an amount sufficient to dissolve said metal ions. The treatment removes segregated and concentrated aluminium at the plated material surface, which would otherwise tend to prevent phosphate formation. |
