Summary: | A resistive heater comprises a low thermal mass substrate consisting of a ceramic fibre board coated with a film of an alumino-silicate cement. The coated board is then air-dried and fired, thereby enabling the otherwise- resistant fibrous surface of the ceramic fibre board to become receptive to standard deposition techniques. A resistive pattern may then be printed onto the coated board by using any such technique and subsequently fired in accordance with the technique employed. |
