[Cognate Applications, 14,231/14 and 21,840/14.] Projectiles. - Consists in making small-arm projectiles with a point portion H, Fig. 2, having a length of 3-4¢ times the calibre C, and of 0À54-0À725 the total length L of the projectile, the centre of gravity being kept practically within the guiding-portion G by thickening the nose part of the jacket or by making the rear part F of the core of lead, and the front part F of aluminium. The rear part of the guiding- portion may be tapered. |
