Summary: | 5959. Everton, E. T. March 9. Kettles; bodies.-In a tea - kettle having a stamped copper body A and a stamped tin-plate neck B, the edge 1 of the body is flanged and rolled or pressed over a flange 3 on the neck to form a single seam, in which case solder is applied internally at 4, and a projecting copper bead is thereby formed around the kettle. The soldering may be dispensed with by making the flange 3 double or by forming a double seam. |
