[Addition to 26,692/05.] Recovering waste lubricating-oils.- In the apparatus for catching and purifying waste o i l from steamengines &c., described in t h e parent Specification, a heating- tank is provided for boiling off the water from the oil before it is admitted to the purifying-tank, and a separate upward filter h is placed outside the purifying-tank 5, the filter that is operated by means of wicks being omitted. A by-pass device is used to throw the water-separating tank out of action, when desired. Any water that may collect in the base of the water-separating tank is drawn off through suitable cocks. A hand-pump or a drainage cock may also be fitted for the removal of water from the oil-collecting basin. |
