Summary: | 21,702. Barnett, J. S. Sept. 23. Flash signals.- In a portable electric flash - lamp, each lamp is provided with an independent battery and circuit. In the arrangement shown, four incandescent lamps a are mounted on a brass contact - plate b fixed to a board c carrying shelves or brackets d for supporting four dry cells e. The plate b has a terminal h, to which all the negative cell terminals are connected, the positive terminals being joined to contacts i on a pivoted switch-arm adapted to be held, for example by a spring clip n, in contact with four terminals o connected to the lamps; the contacts i are adapted to screw in or out of the arm l to vary the number of lamps in circuit. The apparatus is placed in a box provided with a flash shutter operated by a key S. |
