Ball mills. - In order to draw off gases &c. from ball and like crushing mills, two opposite sieves g of the polygonal screen e surrounding the crushing - drum d are attached to springs h, the inner ends of which carry rollers running in a groove in the cam m, so that the sieves are moved radially outwards during the revolution of the drum. The outer casing a of the apparatus communicates by a passage c with an exhauster or ventilator. The springs h pass through eyes l on the end walls of the drum d, and the sieves are provided with springs i to form a tight joint. |
