Summary:9 4 6 7. Braun, R. May 5. Drawings to Specification. Distributing.-In systems of electric transmission, in which the load on the motors varies considerably or is intermittent, as in rolling-mills, railway plant, winding-engines, &c., the output of the generator is maintained uniform by connecting across the distribution net equalizing-machines, which are capable of storing energy when the load on the motors is below its average value and of restoring the energy to the motors when the load becomes excessive. The machines may store energy by lifting a mass, by compressing air, or by charging accumulators, or the energy may be stored in a fly-wheel on the shaft of an equalizing- machine.
