Summary:17,765. Bayliss, T. Sept. 5. Clamps.-Consists of aclamping-device for attaching a driving-pulley to the spokes of a motor bicycle wheel, or for other suitable purposes. The clamp comprises a stud having a head 7, a neck 6 with a slot in the side deep enough to allow the wire spoke to lie in the axis of the stud, a sleeve 11 fitting over the neck and notched at 12 to embrace the spoke, and a nut on a screwed shank which passes through the flange 3 of the pulley ring 2. The whole is arranged so that tightening the nut serves to grip the flange 3 and the spoke 5 simultaneously. The clamp can be attached and detached without removing either end of the spoke.
