Summary: | 1287328 Rudders T K PEARCE 27 May 1971 [27 June 1970] 31277/70 Heading B7V Rudder stock 19 is of extruded metal having the cross-section shown in Fig. 5 to receive T- shaped gudgeon brackets 12, 12a in groove 10, and check plates 14 between limbs 13, 32. The tiller 25 is attached to plates 14 by a bar 20 of similar cross-section (Fig. 7, not shown). Blade 15 is pivoted to the plates 14 at 16 and is held in its desired position by a spring detent 39. The parts are retained in their assembled positions by screws, rivets or adhesive. Figs. 1-4 (not shown) illustrate a simplified arrangement in which limbs 32 are omitted and the blade is pivoted by lines passing over a fairlead (26) between plates 14. |
