Summary:1285471 Two-stroke crank-case compression engines F DAVISON 29 April 1970 [4 Feb 1969] 6055/69 Heading F1B When the piston A is at the bottom of its stroke a charge from the crank-case flows between the gudgeon pin bosses F and the piston skirt, and through ports H, J in the skirt opposite the ends of the gudgeon pin E and cylinder ports, to the cylinder B above the piston. Pairs of cylinder ports H, J communicate with each skirt port, Figs. 2 to 4 (not shown). The ports H, J may be circular, rectangular or oval and formed during casting or by drilling or milling.
