A composition comprises a phenolated or thiophenolated polymer of isoprene having a molecular weight of 500 to 30,000 and containing less than 50% internal unsaturation and a phenol-formaldehyde resin. The composition may be added to EP and EPT rubbers to improve their tack. The composition can be added to the rubber as a solution in mineral oil. Tack can be enhanced by exposure to a fluorescent light.
